Dennis Yacobozzi, President and Founder of United American Capital Corporation (UACC), has over thirty-five years of fixed-income investment management experience, both in the public and private sectors. He is a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Prior to founding UACC, Mr. Yacobozzi was the Executive Director of Investments and Banking for the Ohio Treasury where his duties included the management of the state’s main portfolio, the state’s investment pool (STAROHIO), and various state custodial accounts. STAROHIO, originally developed and managed by Mr. Yacobozzi during the mid-80s, has evolved into a multi-billion dollar, short-term investment vehicle used by Ohio political subdivisions.
The founding of UACC in 1991 has provided public entities with an alternative approach to investing their funds . . . an investment program specifically customized to fit the unique needs of public entities. Currently, the firm provides portfolio management and investment advisory service to public fund accounts in Ohio and California.
Kevin Klingel, Vice President, has over twenty-five years of investment management and operations experience. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Klingel was a member of the senior investment staff of the Ohio Treasury where he was responsible for the cash management of state and custodial accounts, the reconciliation of daily investment transactions and banking activities, and the management of the short-maturity positions of the state’s main investment portfolio. Mr. Klingel is responsible for the daily management of UACC’s client portfolios and participates in the development of the firm’s overall fixed-income strategies.
Jim McCourt, Assistant Portfolio Manager, joined UACC in 2008 and has over seven years of financial industry experience. He assists in the daily management of UACC’s client portfolios, executes trades, and participates in the development of the firm’s overall fixed-income strategies. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining the performance records for the firm and conducting market research. Mr. McCourt earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Capital University. He has passed Level II of the CFA exam and is currently a candidate for the Level III exam.
